Michael J. Delaney

Born on March 13, 1936, Mike was the son of the late Blanche (Christy) and Arthur Delaney.

He received a degree in marketing from Villanova University in 1957 and returned home to work in the family business, Delaney Brothers Inc. for many years. He was an avid golfer in his younger years and grew into a passionate tennis player through his later years.

Mike married Constance Guth in 1957 with whom he had 5 girls. He is survived by his daughters, “ Mike’s girls.” Karen Cadwell of Black Mountain, NC, Sue Brooks residing in Rochester, NY, Beth Delaney Padgett, also of Black Mountain, NC, Laurie Dull in Jefferson Oh and Linda Reinhart of Westford, PA.

Mike is survived by two siblings, his eldest brother, John A. Delaney and sister Nancy Higgs. He was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas and Arthur.

Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren survive as well as many loving nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00AM on Friday July 12, 2013 at St. Catherine’s of Siena Church, 118 S State St DuBois, PA 15801, with Msgr Richard Siefer officiating.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 11, from 7:00 to 9:00PM at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., 142 West Long Ave DuBois, Pa 15801. A vigil service will held at 6:45 P.M.
