Michael P. Monahan

It is with deep sadness that Marion E. (Penny) and Patrick T. (Terry) Monahan of Conneaut Lake, PA announces the death of their son Michael Patrick Monahan on August 6, 2014. Michael was welcomed into the world November 26, 1989 in DuBois, Pa and regretfully has been taken too soon. He will live on fondly in the memories and hearts of his family.

Michael is survived by numerous aunts and uncles: James “Chip” and his wife Teresa Matthews of DuBois, PA, David and his wife Evangeline Matthews of Gainesville, VA, Florence “Lori” and her husband Homer Bloom of Conneaut Lake, PA, Susan Zickefoose, MD of Canon City, CO and Lois Matthews of Charleston, SC, Daniel and his wife Cathy Monahan of Kannapolis, NC, Thomas and his wife Dawnene Monahan of Rockton, PA and Candy and her husband David Clausen of Grove City, PA. Cousins: Paul and Cori Bloom, Reese, Emma and Wyatt Hamm, Emily (Matthews) and Mia Gavazzi, Kelly (Zickefoose) and Lila Haug, James “JR” and Kevin Matthews, Nicholas and Carlie Matthews, and Sara (Zickefoose) and Bailey Swingle.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Marion L. and James H. Matthews, Sr. and Mary Eva and Daniel Monahan, Sr., as well as his beloved uncle and godfather Mark Zickefoose.

He will be remembered with love, respect and smiles and will be sorely missed by his parents and family. The family would like to thank neighbors Todd and Holly Foister for being kind and generous friends to both him and his parents.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 12th, from 4-8pm at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. 142 West Long Ave, DuBois, PA 15801. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00am at the Funeral Chapel with an 11:00am mass at the Church of Our Savior, 400 Liberty Boulevard, DuBois, PA with Rev. Melinda Hall officiating.
