Dr. Doughty graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA with a BS in Biology; Penn State University with a MS in Plant Genetics and PCOM with a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Doughty practiced as a family physician in Ulysses, PA from 1980-1987. Upon completion of a residency at The Medical Center, Beaver, PA in 1990 he practiced at Agape Family Health Center in DuBois and DRMC Family Practice Associates in Reynoldsville.

He was a member of Smithtown Community Church. He had a fun, loving nature and was sometimes eccentric in his personality. He enjoyed spending time in God’s creation, taking long walks and helping people.

Dr. Doughty is survived by his wife, Suzanne M. Doughty, three children: Paul M. Doughty of Charleston, SC, Benjamin Doughty of Bradford, PA and Sarah Doughty of Lynchburg, VA; he is also survived by a granddaughter and a brother, Greg Doughty, of Seminole, FL.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc.
