

Born March 27, 1921 in Curwensville, he was one of seven children of the late Matt and Esther Williams Haag.
He was married for 47 years to Julie Redenski Haag. The couple were married in Monterey California in 1963. She survives.
He used his artistic abilities as a consummate chef who owned or managed a series of restaurants and as a stonemason whose work graced homes throughout central Pennsylvania. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as private chef for General Hugh Aloysius Drum during World War II. While in the Army, he also was a Professional Lightweight Boxer.
After World War II, he owned a series of diners in New Jersey and later in Los Osos California. He managed the Country Club Restaurant in Paso Robles California and the Nittany Country Club in Mingoville, PA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was known for his sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters RaeLyn (Tyler) Jones of Portland, Oregon; Cathy Rosage of DuBois; Peggy (Barry Brown) Diaz of Howard; Patty Cottrell of New York; Debbie Lygenga of Saylorsburg and sons Ronnie of Florida and Joey of New Jersey; grandchildren Liam, Desirae, Corina, Simeon, Billy, Joey G., Joey M, Patrice, Neal.and Melody; and great grandchildren Mykah and Trevor.
He also is survived by his sisters Esther Frankenberger of Cape Coral FL, Lenore Hock of Newfield, N.J. and Mary Miller of Eustis, Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Ricky; two brothers Malcolm and Paul, one sister Jean Detillio, two grandsons Jeremiah Diaz and Billy Cottrell and his granddaughter Dawn Marie Lygenga.

There will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mohney-Yarger Funeral Chapel, DuBois.
