William R. Kuntz

Born December 2, 1929 in Reynoldsville, PA, he was the son of the late John H. and Fay M. (Shaffer) Kuntz.

Mr. Kuntz was a member of Narrows Creek Church, the Hickory Grange and a charter member of the Sabula Fire Company.

He was a graduate of Sandy High School. William was employed as an insurance salesman for Prudential, retiring after 20 years. He was also employed with VT Smith and DuBois Dairy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. William enjoyed camping, going to Florida in the winter and watching TV.

Surviving are two daughters: Wendy L. Yohe and her husband David, Rockton; Lisa J. Whitt and her husband Dennis, Elkhart, IN; four grandchildren: Jeremy Whitt and his wife Darianne, Gregory Whitt, Meghan Yohe and JoshuaYohe; one brother: Richard H. Kuntz and his wife Nancy, DuBois; one sister: Dorothy M. Smith, Winterhaven, FL.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Narrows Creek Church, 113 Hungry Hollow Road, DuBois, PA 15801 with Rev. Donald Ostrom officiating. There will be no public viewing. Friends will be received Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., 142 W. Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801 and on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Full Military Services accorded by the DuBois Honor Guard. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
