Alma Potts

Alma was born on February 22, 1931 to the late George and Gertrude Kidd in Wayne County, KY. In 1953, she married Marvin Potts and they had six children.

Besides her parents, Alma is preceded in death by an infant daughter, a daughter, Karen Kay Potts (Kay-Kay); brothers, Vincent Kidd, Clyde Kidd, Denver Kidd, Joe Kidd and Milton Kidd; sisters, Nevada Kidd Corder and Ezma Calhoun Baldwin; daughter-in-law, Wendy Potts; a grandson-in-law, Jeff Parenteau.

Alma is survived by her sons, Allen (Kathy) Potts, Larry Potts, Kenny Potts, and Terry (Betty) Potts; grandchildren, Ricky Rhode, Tony Potts, Lynette Potts, Misty Potts, Wesley Potts, Tressa Parenteau, Brian Ore, Kristy Ore, Nick Potts, Nathan Potts, Brandon Potts, Jupiter Potts, Chandler Potts, and Zach Manganello; 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Kelsey Lee Hahn and Mary Ruth West, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Alma was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She devoted most of her life giving special care to her daughter, Kay-Kay, up until her passing in 2008. She loved gospel music, gardening, her beautiful flowers and cooking. She had a strong Christian faith which gave her strength to persevere the many trials she faced. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to give special mention to Capital City Hospice and Sunrise of Dublin for their genuine love, care and support.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Dr. Dublin, OH 43017. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday, August 3,2023 at Schoedinger Dublin. Interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center, OH.
