Carolyn Serna

Carolyn Belingon Serna, age 46, passed away in Dublin, Ohio on October 17, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 23, 1976, at Mt. Sinai Medical Center to Edwin and Nilda Belingon. Carolyn attended Glenbard North High School. After graduation, she continued her education at Bradley University, where she majored in psychology. She relocated with her family to Ohio in 2013, and eventually came to volunteer at St. Brendan school. She became a kitchen coordinator there, and enjoyed her time with the beautiful children she helped nourish. When not working, she spent most of her time with her daughter, Micayla. Carolyn was Micayla’s biggest fan, cheering her on at sporting, academic or theatre events. She also enjoyed traveling whenever possible (especially to warm beaches and Disney World), hiking through beautiful locations, eating great food, spending time with family and friends, going to comedies, musicals, and of course, following her beloved NKOTB.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her oldest brother (Edwin Jr.). She is survived by her husband (Laurence) of 15 years, daughter (Micayla), and fur baby (Gracie). Carolyn is also survived by her parents (Edwin and Nilda), brother (Kenneth), nephews (Nathan and Keoni), as well as her “Sissy” (Lesly Sauceda) and in-laws (Orlando and Marina Serna). Carolyn will be deeply missed by her loving family including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many others.

Visitation will take place on Friday October 28, 2022 from 5-8 pm at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN; 5980 Perimeter Drive Dublin, Ohio 43017. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am on Saturday October 29, 2022 at St. Brendan Catholic Church; 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH 43026.
