

Cynthia “Cindy” Gifford passed away on December 30, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio, one day after her 65th birthday. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on December 29, 1959, to the late Richard and Sandra Sensenbrenner. Cindy was a loving, supportive, encouraging, selfless and proud mother of her two children. She had a strong work ethic, was passionate about her work and was a leader and mentor. She was generous, loyal and supportive to everyone in her life. Cindy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Cindy graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. For 36 years, she was a dedicated employee of Jones Day Law where she worked in Technology Support Services. Throughout her career with Jones Day, she spent most of her time with the Columbus, Ohio Office. In 2013 when she was promoted to Regional Manager of the Southeast Region, she made the move to Miami, Florida.
Cindy absolutely loved living in Florida. Her happy place was the beach and she loved sharing her home and Florida experiences with the many, many friends who visited her. She enjoyed football, cheering on both the Buckeyes and the Miami Dolphins as a season ticket holder. Anyone who knew Cindy, also knew her passion for music and the joy she had in attending concerts and listening to Casey Kasem’s American top 40 every Sunday.
Cindy is survived by her two children, Brian and Kevin Gifford; sister Karin (Todd) Waldron; brother Dan Sensenbrenner; and aunt and uncle Dr. Tim and Judy Fallon. She is survived by her cousins, Greg (Sonni) Peterson, Patti Leeke, Doug Sensenbrenner, Judi (Tom) Sensenbrenner-Kibbey, Shirli (Bill) Sensenbrenner-Aldridge, Rich (Janet) Sensenbrenner, Kelli Laird; nieces and nephews Daniel Waldron, Marisa (DJ) Foster, Parin Sensenbrenner; great-niece Celeste Foster; and her Bestie, Rita Lawson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Sandra Sensenbrenner; aunts and uncles Carl and Marilyn Peterson and Edward and Lois Sensenbrenner; and her cousin Mark Peterson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Time of Remembrance at 12:30 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive Dublin, Ohio 43017.
The family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to Hope Hollow, a charitable organization that provides lodging, meals, transportation assistance and emotional support at no cost to cancer patients and their loved ones.
