With hearts full of love and immeasurable sadness, we share that our beloved mother passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 29, at her home in London, Ohio. She was born to her parents, John and Katie Drochak, on April 27, 1949 in Barberton, Ohio.
Cindy was a beautiful, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Anyone who knew her witnessed her energetic and faithful spirit and unstoppable determination. She spent most of her life working in the service of others. She was a homemaker and worked as a childcare provider for most of her life. She had her own cleaning business and provided many families with home/family support. Cindy, a woman of deep faith and devotion, was an active member of Zion Christian Church in Powell, Ohio, since 2001. She volunteered as a member of the Prayer Team as well as the Healing and Freedom Ministry Team. She participated in several mission trips to Israel, Africa, and Honduras to help build schools, support orphanages, and provide clean water. She was a long-time member of Aglow Christian Women’s Organization.
For all who knew her, she was the most kind, patient, generous person and loved by everyone who met her. Willing to help in any way, she worked tirelessly and never slowed down. She took so much pride in her beautiful flower gardens and home. She loved to read and study the Bible, write in her journal, and go on long walks, which she did every day. Cindy was a wonderful cook and enjoyed quilting in her free time. Her unbelievable energy and spunk were well known to all who knew her, she never stopped and continued working until the very day she passed. Cindy loved her family and all her friends deeply and would always offer a helpful hand to anyone who needed assistance.
Cindy is survived by her three children, Lloyd Kelley, Lisa Huesman (Chris), and John Kelley (Anna); grandchildren Katie Duggan (Kuris), Aaron Huesman (Jessica), and Kylie Dant (Charlie), Savannah Traeger, Jillian and Ryleigh Kelley, her great-grandchildren Hunter and Wrenley Huesman; siblings John Wise (Shirley), Keith Drochak (Royoko), Linda Drochak, and Melissa Garcia Wolf (Robert) as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katie Drochak; brother Daniel Drochak.
Our family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Zion Christian Fellowship, 10405 Sawmill Road, Powell, Ohio, 43065 for hosting her Celebration of Life on Friday, December 12, at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, our family invites memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org), The Bridge Mission (thebridgemission.org), or any children’s charity of your choice.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, and it does not boast. Love is not proud, love is not rude. Love is not easily angered, and love deeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. And now these three remain, faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is Love.”
Cindy shared her love with family, friends, and countless people. She never met a stranger. She was, and will always be, loved and remembered.
