Daniel Patrick Walbright, 33, of Columbus, passed away at his residence July 15. He was the son of Camille (Pete) King and Phil (Sheri) Walbright. Daniel is survived by siblings, David (Nikki) Walbright of Michigan and Heather Walbright and Nate Burnell of South Carolina; four darling nieces and nephews, Eddie, Sylvia, Clara, and Luke of Michigan; step sister, McKenzie Blair of Columbus, and two step brothers, Chris Blair of Minford and Josh Blair of Indiana; grandmother, Grace Moore; close aunt and uncle, Lynn and Tim Adryan of New Jersey; and several aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Earle Moore and Rachel Moore.
Daniel was a graduate of Worthington Christian High School and obtained college hours at both Otterbein and Columbus State. At the time of passing, he was employed by Amazon. He was known as a kind chap with a sweet smile and gentle spirit who genuinely cared about those around him and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a keen love for animals; one example is finding a baby bird who had fallen from its nest. He rescued it in a shoebox and nursed it back to health. Daniel also had a good sense of humor, keeping those around him in good spirits. He had a great “Jim Carey” impersonation that we still laugh about today. He enjoyed music, golf, baseball, hiking, camping and campfires. Most importantly, Daniel knew of Jesus and His atoning mission, and walked with Him the best he could.
Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Dublin where a visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23 from 1-3pm. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Refuge Program at www.TheRefugeOhio.org.
