Dianne Louise Moon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dianne "Di" Moon, born on November 10, 1942, and passed away on May 18, 2023. Dianne was a loving mother, sister, partner, grandmother, and friend, known for her outgoing personality and love for life.

Dianne is survived by her daughters, Therese Black and Tammy McLain, her partner, Larry Persinger, her brothers, Richard and Daniel Aschman, and her grandchildren, Kyle, Amanda, Dawson, and Paige McLain. She was predeceased by her father, Fred Aschman, her mother, Helen Aschman, and her grandson, Cody McLain.

A graduate of Upper Arlington High School in 1960, Dianne went on to have a long and successful career at ATT, retiring in 1988. She also proudly served in the U.S. Navy Reserve in 1978. Throughout her life, Dianne was a devoted attendee at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

Known for her love of Barbra Streisand's music, Dianne's greatest lessons to share with others were to work hard, respect others, and give back. As a single mom raising two girls, she proved her strength and dedication to her family, leaving behind a legacy of living life to the fullest.

Dianne will be deeply missed by her friends and family, who will cherish her memory and continue to honor her by following her example in living a full and joyful life. May she rest in peace.

A visitation for Dianne will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43220, followed by a memorial mass at 11:00 AM.
