Dottie is preceded in death by her father, Walter Howard Blevins, mother, Lois Marie Blevins, and brother Tom Blevins.
Dottie lived a life full of unconditional love and deep devotion to God. She saw the best in everyone and exemplified the true meaning of forgiveness. As a strong Christian believer, Dottie passed along her deep faith to her loved ones on a consistent basis. Quoting scriptures and powerful statements, she often challenged us to become the best version of ourselves. Dottie would often remind us of the power of words. One of her consistent teachings was that “The power of life and death is in the tongue”.
Our lives will never be the same without her. Dottie leaves behind a family that loves her beyond words. She is survived by her four children, Brian (Erin) Dillard, Kevin (Melissa) Dillard, Kristin (Justin) Giger, and Jamie (Robert) Barreras. Her nine grandchildren include Brooklin (Benjamin) O’Bryant, Jalen (Casandra) Dillard, Kennedy Dillard, Darius Dillard, Sophia Barreras, Brooklyn Giger, Jaydon Giger, Carter Barreras, and Kylee Giger, as well as four great-grandchildren and cousins. Best friend Dawn Brooks is also left to cherish her memory.
A visitation for family and friends of Dottie Sue Dillard will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 12 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1 pm at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Dr., Dublin, OH 43017. The resting place of her physical body will be at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio.
Dottie’s heartbroken family is left to carry on her legacy of love and devotion. She strongly believed that “Healing is spiritual and natural” and “By His stripes, we are healed”. Although our mother and Nana is no longer with us physically, we know she has received her full healing in Heaven with all her loved ones. Rest well, Mom. We will see you again one day!
