Jennifer Townsend

Our dearly beloved Jennifer Boxwell (Nein) Townsend peacefully passed away in the arms of her children on December 29, 2023, at the age of 76. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who unconditionally loved everyone who crossed her path. She always put family first and was most happy when we were all gathered together in her home. She will be fondly remembered for her love of the zoo, riding her bike with the wind in her hair, taking long walks in the sun, going all out for Christmas, attending every event her children and grandchildren participated in, avidly loving all her dogs over the many years, and her love of chocolate Chex, M&Ms, elves caps and potato casserole. She was also a committed Speech & Language Pathologist for Upper Arlington schools and loved working with her students. Our hearts ache, but they are full because of her. She was predeceased by her parents, Homer and Dorothy Boxwell, and is survived by her husband, Bob, and sister Becky (Tom) Maxwell along with her children and grandchildren: Jacki Nein Daniels (Jessa), Jodi Nein Robertson (Mike, Lincoln and Charlotte), Peter Townsend (Susannah, Judson, Emmylou), Jeff Nein (Meghan, Leila, Sylvia, Piper), and Rozlie Townsend Potts (Chris, Cogan, Vienna, Kaia).

A short celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, at the Burkhart Chapel located at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus Ohio 43212.
