Joanne D. Franklin

Our wonderful mother passed away on the morning of February 10, 2022, after a long and meaningful life of 95 years.

She was a special woman in so many ways. A long time member of Twig 80, Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Women’s Golf Association at Brookside Country Club. She loved playing bridge and golf with her favorite partner, her husband Lew, who preceded her in death in 2014.

What she was best at was being a mother to her four sons, Thomas (Cathy), David (Linda), Charles, and Richard( Kathy). A grandmother to Drew( Jessica),Katie (Sayre )Dolan, Karen (Wes)Patterson, Julie (Thompson)Mefford, Matt (Kasey), Eric, Camille, Michael Vaughan, Emily Sellevaag and Josh Robb(Abby).

She had 14 greatgrandchildren,Declan, Avery, Samantha, Chase, Olivia, Dorothy, Kennedy, Trevor, Elise, Ally, Rosie, Carter, Tinley , and Olivia.

All of us could count on her gentle touch and loving smile, and oh, how she loved to read to her children. We will miss her tremendously but know that she is where she should be, with her beloved husband Lew.

A family service will be held at Friendship Village in the near future.
