Trudy Waltraud Lingnau

Trudy Waltraud Lingnau of Dublin, Ohio, was called by God and passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. She fought hard and surprised many with her vibrant longevity even defying cancer for her last seven years. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Magdalene Worstein, and her loving son Steven Lingnau, and survived by Ted Lingnau her dedicated husband of 64 years; loving mother, mother-in-law and Oma to Bernie (Theresa) Lingnau, Danielle (Austin) Moster, Kaitlin Lingnau, Bradley Lingnau, Mariah Lingnau, Jacob Lingnau, Michael Lingnau and Anna Lingnau; Gross Oma to Andrew Moster, and also had many nieces and nephews in Ohio and Germany, and numerous close family-friends from Ohio, California, Florida and Germany. Trudy was predominately a stay-at-home wife and mother, but loved her hands-on art of ceramics, painting and hat making. She traveled throughout the U.S. and the world with family and friends. Trudy and Ted met in Columbus, Ohio in 1958 and happily married in 1960. Both remained active with the Germania Singing and Sport Society.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Dr., Dublin, OH 43017. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 30, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Church, 434 Norton Rd., Columbus, OH 43228.
