
She was born in Roscoe Township, MN on January 13, 1920 to Melvin and Petra (Ulliveg) Greseth. She graduated from Crookston High School and St. Luke’s Nursing School in Duluth. Alice was an RN at St. Luke’s Hospital and the West Duluth Clinic, until her retirement. She married Sherman Lent on July 30, 1949 in Duluth.
Alice was a member of First Lutheran Church where she was active in the Altar Guild, FLCW, taught Vacation Bible School, sang at many funerals, weddings and in the church choir. She was often the soloist for the “Seven Last Words” on Good Friday.
She was a long time resident of Kenwood and Aftenro Home. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cross-stitch and hardanger. Her greatest joy was her family.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman; parents; brother, Marlowe; and sister, Joyce Fox.
She is survived by her two sons, Steven (Joyce) Lent of Duluth and Thomas Lent of Burbank, CA; grandchildren, Bryan and Becky Lent of Duluth; great-granddaughter, Callie; brother, Donald (Phyllis) Greseth of Wanamingo, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 15th at the Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 E. 4th St. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, August 16th at First Lutheran Church, 1100 E. Superior St., with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Inurnment will take place at Park Hill Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Aftenro Home and First Lutheran Church music fund.
