

Bud was born August 20, 1923, in Duluth, to Mary and John Talarico. He graduated from Denfeld High School in 1942. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps and attained the rank of Major. He proudly served his country in both WWII and the Korean War.
Bud married Ruth McCarthy in 1950. In returning to civilian life he flew helicopters for the Chicago Helicopter Airways out of Chicago, Illinois. Later he opened a Schwinn bicycle shop in Superior, Wisconsin.
Bud enjoyed life to the fullest and never met anyone who didn’t call him friend. His greatest love was flying planes and later in life sharing his stories about his flying adventures both during and after the wars.
Bud had many hobbies which he enjoyed. His enthusiasm for life and kindness to all will be fondly remembered. He was a loving father, true gentleman and a friend to everyone he met.
Bud was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth; his parents; his brother, Joseph, two sisters, Clara DeSciscio and Mary Johnson; and three infant siblings.
He is survived by his son, Michael of Aurora, Illinois; sister-in-law, Lillian Talarico of Duluth; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; as well as many other family members and friends.
Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N 56th Ave W, in Duluth.
