Ann J. Peterson

Ann Zipoy was born on February 15, 1919 to Andrew and Anna Zipoy in Denham, Minnesota. She married her one and only love; Richard “Dick” Peterson on November 9, 1945.

Ann was a long-time active member of Our Saviors Lutheran church. She was a member of Naomi Circle, enjoyed her counting group on Tuesday morning and loved helping with church dinners.

Among several jobs that Ann held; her work at Western Nation Bank as a teller was one of her favorites. She cherished the time spent with family and friends and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Dick (February 1980); three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her three children; Bonnie (Ron) Locker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Diane Nelson of Wausau, Wisconsin and Rick (Darlene) Peterson of St. Cloud, Minnesota; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held Friday April 29, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in Our Saviors Lutheran Church. 4831 Grand Ave and will continue from 11 am until the Noon Funeral Service Saturday, April 30th, 2011. Rev. Christine Anttila officiating. Burial will be in Oneota Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Duluth, Minnesota.
