Barbara Joy Edstrom

Barbara was born August 5, 1941 to William and Ella Anderson. She grew up in Hermantown and graduated from Hermantown High School in 1959.

Barbara met the love of her life, Donald James Edstrom, at Bethel Lutheran Church and they were married there on June 12, 1965.

Barbara’s entire working career was in the Trust Department at Northern City Bank (now US Bank) and retiring in 1998.

Barbara enjoyed gardening, spending time with family at the cabin in Brimson, and bragging about her grandson, Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Rev. William Jr., Robert, and Donald.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 50 years, Donald James; daughter, Pamela Joy (Ryan) Arola; grandson, Henry James; and granddog, Norah.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 6 in Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N. 56th Ave. W., Duluth. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7 in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1325 N. 45th Ave. E., Duluth. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the church or Animal Allies.
