

Carlene Lesch, age 83, died peacefully in her sleep on September 15, 2016, at Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living in Duluth, MN. Carlene was born on September 1, 1933 to Carl and Margaret (Mills) Johnson. She graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1951.
Carlene was a loving wife, mother and servant to the lord. She was a social, active woman who was deeply committed to raising her family, shuttling three boys between school and after school activities in a loving, supportive environment. She worked as a bookkeeper and cashier for many years at the Korner Store and later completed her studies and worked part time as a licensed cosmetologist, She also enjoyed golf and bowling where she excelled at both.
As Carlene matured, her family spread out across the country. She used this opportunity to travel more and became more active in the church serving the lord. Carlene and Roy took mission trips to developing countries and enjoyed the opportunity to spread God’s word.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gary Johnson, a sister Claudia Suomi (Johnson), first husband Burt Lamo (father of her sons) who died in 1976, second husband Roy Lesch who died in 1998, and Roy’s daughter, Rebecca Lesch.
Carlene is survived by three sons; Brian (Darlene) Lamo, of Ocala FL, Bruce (Nancy) of Minneapolis, MN, Brent (Pam) of Ojai, CA, and Roy Lesch’s daughter, Debbie (Eric) Ringsred, of Duluth, MN, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren
A Memorial Service is scheduled for October 14, 2016, at the Great Lakes Church, 4501 Glenwood St, Duluth, MN 55804. Visitation is at 10:00 AM, ceremony at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carlene's life. In lieu of donations or flowers please send charitable contributions to the Great Lakes Church.
