

Dolores was born in Two Harbors on October 14, 1940 to Arthur and Myrtle (Miller) Hoverson. The family moved to Proctor and Dolores attended Proctor High School graduating in 1958. Shortly after high school she enlisted in the US Marines. After serving her country she spent a few years living on the east coast before moving to Wisconsin. She returned to Duluth in 1980. Dolores worked for several area businesses and attended St. Scholastica for a short time. Dolores enjoyed gardening and caring for animals and was also involved with the Drum and Bugle Corps. Dolores enjoyed the humorous side of things and had a great enthusiasm for life. Her kind and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Charles Hoverson and son Edwin Maylin.
Dolores is survived by children, Michael Maylin of Duluth, Sean Maylin of Baraboo, WI, Scott Maylin of Duluth, Dawn Maylin of Stoddard, NH; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister Myrtle Fujii of Osaka, Japan; nephew Kurt Hoverson of Kobe, Japan; nieces, Kristin Hoverson of Minneapolis, MN and Karen (Geoff) Balogh of Fairview, NC as well as several close cousins, other extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dolores’ friends and staff of Essentia Hospice for all of their wonderful care.
Visitation will be held from 2 P.M. until the 3 P.M. memorial service on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home 601 N. 56th Ave. W. Duluth, MN. Bell Brothers Funeral Home 624-5745
