

Eleanor was born in Soudan, Minnesota on July 16, 1915 to Richard and Hilma (Peterson) Hendrickson. She attended and graduated from schools in Soudan/Tower and later moved to Duluth. Eleanor was united in marriage to Edwin A. Koslakiewicz on November 30, 1934. Along with raising her family, Eleanor was a long time waitress at Hotel Duluth. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, especially Cribbage as well as sewing and using her computer. Eleanor was an excellent baker and was well regarded for her bread, cinnamon rolls and banana crème pie. She was particularly fond of spending time with children especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin in 1992.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Carol (Elwood) Youngberg of Silver Bay, Duane (Shirley) Koslakiewicz of Duluth, Barbara (Daryl) Jakubek of Duluth and David (Nancy) Koslakiewicz of Whitefish Bay, WI; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Friday. November 5, 2010 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home 601 N. 56th Ave. W. with Vigil Prayers at 7 P.M. and again from 10 A.M. until the 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 151 W. Linden St. Interment will be held in the Polish Catholic Cemetery.
