Junior Alex Boutain

Alex was born and raised in Crookston and in 1964 he married the love of his life Donna Currie. In 1970 they relocated to West Duluth and began raising their children. Alex started out as a farmer in his younger years. When he moved to Duluth he was known as a long time janitor and bar tender .

He enjoyed spending time gardening, playing cards with neighbors, yard work , and just spending time with the neighbors. Alex especially enjoyed spending time with his 2 granddaughters, Tesia Marie Liupakka and Megan Lynn Carlson both of Holyoke; they were his pride and joy and they will greatly miss their grandpa.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents Alex SR. and Sadie; sister, Darlene Boutain; and brother Ronald Boutain.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Donna; 4 daughters, Vickie, Nancy, Shelley all of Duluth, and Connie Boutain of Holyoke; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Janet) Boutain of Hankinson ND, Wilfred (Pat) Boutain of Princeton MN, Clarence (Varuna) Boutain of Breezy Point MN, Lawrence (Evelyn) Boutain of Gooridge MN, James (Kaye) Boutain of Red Lake Falls MN, and Virgil (Jenny) Boutain of Plummer, MN; sisters, Sharon Grindeland of Goodridge MN, Mary Ann (David) Sweno of Oklee, MN, Margaret Ann (Forrest) Hamn and Linda Hamlin both of Thief River Falls MN; and several nieces and nephews.
