Katherine Lindstam

Katherine was born on July 2, 1921 to Gunnar and Beda (Nesselquist) Oman. She attended and graduated from Central High School in 1940. She worked at Marshall Wells Hardware and Duluth Dental Arts where she met her future husband, Dr. Donald Dale Lindstam. On June 18, 1948 they were married in Duluth. Katherine loved raising her family and they would often spend time at the cabin on Lake Nebagamon. She was an avid seamstress and also enjoyed cooking. In her youth she was a member of Gloria Dei Church and later on First Lutheran.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald and her parents, Beda and Gunnar.

Katherine is survived by son Keith (Winnie) Lindstam of Eden Prairie; daughter Marie (Dean Olson) Lindstam of Lake Nebagamon; granddaughter, Brenda (Tyler) Schwerdt of Duluth; sister Thelma LaBarre; nieces, Lynn, Janet, and great-niece Stacy.

The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Haven and St. Mary's Hospice for their love and care.

Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Bell Brothers Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home 925 East 4th St. with Chaplain Craig Carlson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
