Richard Dick Leonard Eklund

He was born March 25, 1930 in Duluth to Axel and Dagny Eklund. Dick worked for the Ford Motor Company for 43 years. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, past Commander of the McGregor American Legion Post NO. 23 and chief of their newsletter. Dick was a very active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, helping usher and make potica. He was most happy around his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; his parents; and his sister, Ruth Cardinal.

He will be missed by his family, five children, Jane (Jeff) Nelson, Richard, Jr. (Gayle), Joan (Dave) Wyly, David and Douglas (Veronica); grandchildren, Aaron (Angie) Quesenberry, Amanda (Justin) Strom, Melissa (Mike) Griffith, Ashley Eklund; great-grandchild, Riley Quesenberry; and his sister, Joyce (Richard) Drennen.

Gathering of family and friends from 1:00pm until the 2:00pm memorial service Saturday, December 17th at Trinity Episcopal Church, 4903 Maple Grove Road, Hermantown. The Reverend Cheryl Harder and Reverend Linda Lundgren will officiate. If so desired, memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Episcopal Church or the McGregor Legion Post No. 23.
