

She had resided at St. Ann’s in Duluth. The legacy she left to her children of love for family and Christ will never be forgotten. She taught by example. Caring for her late husband after a stroke and later taking in her sister in law and caring for her with Alzheimer’s. She never seemed to get tired or upset. Her faith sustained her with daily devotion to mass. Rose always had a rosary in her pocket for a quick “pick me up”. She was a homemaker until her late 40's when she began working at Nopeming Nursing Home as a Nurses Aide. After her retirement, she was a docent at the Lake Superior Railroad and Fon du Luth Casino, volunteered at Lighthouse for the Blind, Meals on Wheels, and St. Mary’s Hospital.
She was a lifetime member of St. Rose Parish in Proctor, choir member, Order of Foresters and Legion of Mary. She enjoyed traveling and visited Lourdes, Medjugorje, Rome and attending the Oberammergau Passion Play in Germany.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Otis K., all 15 of her brothers and sisters, her 3 step children Rev. James Anderson, William “Herb” Anderson and Ruth Mary Nelson and 2 children Monica, and Bernadette.
She is survived by sons Otis (Linda), Anthony (Deanna) and Christopher (Renee) and daughters Gwendolyn (Dayle) Fish, Roseann (Tom) Egger and Mary (Rick) Liljegren, 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
Rosary will be at 9:30 A.M. followed by visitation with mass of Christian Burial set for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 18th At St. Rose Catholic Church , 3 sixth Ave. South, Proctor.
