Agnes M. Miller

Gently and with peace in her heart, Mom left us on February 25, 2013, at the age of 89. Beloved by daughter Linda Hicks with grandson Michael Campbell, and daughter Joan Rowntree. She was pre-deceased by her son-in-law Robert Hicks whom she loved dearly.

Born and raised in Grand Forks, BC, Mom was the youngest of five brothers and two chosen sisters. The death of her mom when she was 13 and the consecutive losses of her brothers left sorrows never healed.

Mom's adult life was spent in North Vancouver, Abbotsford and Duncan. She was always deeply committed to serving her community. She was passionate in her volunteer commitment to Providence Farm.

Her indomitable spirit and sharp mind carried her through many challenging years until her death. She now rests unburdened.

Particular gratitude extended to Cowichan Hospital Emergency who always cared for her like she was their Mom and special thank you to Nurse Miriam who not only fulfilled her commitment as a nurse but is also a gracious and loving person.

I know I told your age Mom. You can scold me in heaven.
