Dorothy Lorraine Geddes (nee Cotter)

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lorraine Geddes. Lorraine is survived by her husband Joe Geddes, daughter Natalie Ackert (Chris, Brandon and Kaitlyn) and daughter Pamela Cotter (Matt, Kaelyn and Costin) plus four additional stepchildren and fourteen step grandkids.

Lorraine will be seeing her dad Harold Byce, mom Dorothy Byce, sisters Patricia Henry, Lynn Endean, and brother Kenneth Byce up in Heaven. Lorraine was born in Victoria, lived in Duncan until moving to Quesnel for 8 years. After she and her family moved to Oliver and eventually back to Duncan for the remainder of her life.

Lorraine could be seen cruising in her Corvette or Camero listening to oldies on cassette, she loved her family, friends, fast cars, bingo, and the casino. Lorraine had the most fantastic sense of humor and would be your strength in any matters you needed.

Words cannot express how much Lorraine will be missed. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral.

May we always walk hand in hand.

I will forever whisper into the wind my thoughts for you to hear.

Although you’ve moved on, you will always be a part of me.

Your laughter and smile can be found within your children.

But your strength, courage and kindness can be found in all generations to come.

Although not here physically, I know you will watch over us. Just as grandma and aunties have.

When the time comes for me to move on, I will look forward to seeing you again.
