Marie - Denise Noella Dickinson

After a lengthy illness, Marie Denise Noella Dickinson passed away Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her loving husband Brian Dickinson. She will also be sadly missed by her children Joseph “Carl” Vekeman, Sandra Karen White (Gary Blohm), Michelle Thompson (Darell Julien) and Mark Vekeman (Angela); her grandchildren, Rachel White, Rinah White, Lucas Thompson, Alex Thompson; 1 great-grandchild, Nicolous Kean-White, as well as little Charlie and her step-children, David Dickinson (Elsa), Andrew Dickinson (Li Ping), Michael Dickinson (Leah) and Jean Vieira (Caleb) .

Marie Denise was born French Canadian, in Quebec City, with a Catholic background, one of 11 children in the small city of Ville Vanier. She loved to sing and go dancing with her husband. She was a French Immersion teacher and caregiver. She was a very patient and sensitive woman with grace and morals.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Cerwyden Care for the kindness and attention given to Marie.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 22nd at 1:30 pm at Royal Oak Burial Park, 4763 Falaise Drive, Victoria with close family and friends in attendance. A Memorial Tea will follow at First Memorial Funeral Home, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria.
