It is with great sadness that the Brown/Campbell family announces the passing of Morag Lorne Brown (nee Denoon). Morag died Friday, January 24th, 2025 in the Cowichan District Hospital, Duncan, B.C., at the age of 90. Morag was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to Alexander (Sandy) and Margaret Denoon, where she grew up alongside her sister, Veronica. She is survived by husband Ian Campbell Brown, son Kevin (Cindy), daughter Kathleen (Gregg), sister Veronica (Jim), grandsons Kaden and Nolan, and step-granddaughters Kasey and Bronwyn. Morag immigrated to Canada in the late 1950s and married Ian in 1959 in Vancouver, B.C. They spent 52 years of their married life on Thetis Island where they raised two children and Morag expanded and maintained her beloved garden. The family will observe a private Celebration of Life sometime in the near future. No flowers at this time please. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Cowichan District Hospital who cared for Morag in her final hours.
