

Tanya June Alfeld of Rhome, Texas passed away Monday, November 30th, 2015 at 71 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Steven Warren Alfeld. Family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life and potluck on Saturday December 19th, from 1 to 4pm at Dallas Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2250 Morriss Rd, Ste 214, Flower Mound, Texas 75028. She attended school in Dallas and graduated from Kimball High School in 1962. On March 23, 1967, she and Steve Alfeld were married in Irving, Texas. She was the executive administrative assistant to the superintendent of schools for the Fort Worth Catholic Diocese was said to be “indispensable.” A loving wife and mother, Tanya was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. Reading, staying up to date on current events and loving her 7 grandchildren kept her busy and happy. She also loved her many cats and dogs over the years. Survivors: Her brother Jimmy Smith of Fort Worth, TX; Children, Lisa and husband David Austin of Fort Worth, son Warren Alfeld of Oklahoma City, OK; son Bryan Alfeld of Rhome, TX; Grandchildren, Steven and Meaghan Alfeld of Rhome, TX; and Aidan, Kelsi, Thomas, Rebekah and Ezra Austin of Fort Worth, TX.
