Daughter of the late Alice and William Rennie and sister of the late Margaret Gibbs.
Yes, mother had 3 husbands. She was married to Bernard (Barney) G. Williams 1947 – 1956 (deceased) and that union was blessed with 3 wonderful children; Leslie Alice, Candace Dale Gaudet (Joe) and late Frederic Scott (late Jane Irving). She was then married in 1963 to Leonard R. McKanday (deceased) and Alice and Leonard legally adopted each others children. Leslie, Candace and Scott became McKanday and Alice gained 3 adopted children; Edward (Joan) Kathy (deceased) and Laura Buckland (Bill). She was then married in 1981 to Thomas Truman (deceased).
She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews in both Canada and the U.S.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Marlatt Funeral Home (905) 528-6303.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
Alice would like to be remembered by her family and friends for her long life and good times spent with her, while they enjoy a ‘cuppa’.
