Donna "Ruth" Alexander

May 29, 1937 – May 11, 2013

Peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hamilton on Saturday, May 11. 2013. Left to mourn are her 4 children Dawn, Heather, Nancy and Fred, her sister Charlene, her brother Ernest, her grandchildren and great-grandsons. Mom served as a church organist for 60 years, raised 4 children while working for the Cancer Centre, driving for Atkison’s Pharmacy and selling Avon like no other Avon rep could. There was nothing Mom could not accomplish if she put her mind to it. A daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, confidant, and any other role that was needed Mom was there. Her passion for her church, her love of family or her dreams of her next travel destination these kept mom going. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton (east of Sanford Avenue) on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 42 Tragina Avenue North, Hamilton on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
