Helen George

On February 2, 2012, Helen went to be with her Lord and Saviour, at the age of 87. Devoted wife of the late Victor George (1999); loving twin sister of Margaret (Bruce) Curson and Art (Sheila) Parker. Special Aunt to Peggy (John) Hendrix, Brian (Rita) Curson, Dianne (David) Amy, Don (Jean) Parker, Linda Parker, Bruce (Jane) Smith, Simon (Tracy) Parkin and Nicole (Frank) Parkin. Great Aunt of five nieces and six nephews. Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Norma Parker. Predeceased by her sister Lois Parker (1926), her parents Alex (1978) and Beatrice (1956) Parker, stepmother Irene Parker(1982) and niece Janice Smith (1997). Helen was a lifetime member of Philpott Memorial Church and was the church secretary for close to thirty years. Her love for the Lord and unwavering faith was evident in all she did and to all those who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Meadowlands Retirement Home and the eighth floor doctors and nurses at Hamilton General Hospital for the excellent care they provided for Helen. The Funeral Service will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton (east of Sanford Ave.) on Saturday February 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
