It's been a year... hard to believe it still... every weekend I want to call you and tell you about the crazy stuff going on in our lives like I always used too. You are greatly missed here Dad.

Happy Birthday Allan - can't believe it has been over a year since you are gone, but you will always be in our hearts and memories.  Love you and miss you Bro!

The fondest memorie Gus and I have of Allen is when he tried to outrun Hurricane charlie and he and Mark came to our house. Charlie caught up with them at my house. Gus and Allen sat on the back porch watching all the electrical lines light up the skies. Then all of a sudden  our oak tree fell down on our house and on Gus and allens head. They never came back after that experience. Gus enjoyed going to the range with Allen and Mark. My thoughts are with you and Jake and the rest of his family. Flossie and Gus

Hi Jake-I loved looking at the photos of you and your dad-especially the ones when you were a baby.  The look on your dad's face said it all-he loved you SO MUCH-and when he spoke of you to me he was always bragging about the new things you could do all by yourself and how strong you were getting.  He thanked me for being tough on you (sorry big guy:-)) as he wanted you to be independent and have a good life.  I know you can do everything he dreamed of for you and I'm so proud of how you are making it through all of these struggles.

I'm so thankful Al called Oct.16. After we hung up, I thought I may not talk with him again. Being close in age (3 yrs.)Al & I hung out & did alot together when we were kids. So many wonderful memories; playing outside all day up @ Hillcrest Lake, Lots of bike riding, Boy Scout 25 mile ride, Scout camp in Morris, (Al was quite a swimmer) Crystal Lake, boating, skiing, what a great time.U.S. Navy, My first duty station was Newport R.I, Al picked me up @ the  airport.He just "happened" to be stationed there. We drove back to Newport once w/ 2 cars. Al followed me. Al loved his a.m. coffee in his boat on the Kankakee.

  My apologies for not entering in something sooner since I was on vacation for 2 + wks.  AL was a cool guy & very hospitable; every time I came down to see the family on vacation I always stayed with him.  My deepest sympathy goes out to his children and other people that were close to him.  He will be missed.

Tracy I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jacob"s father may he live on with christ our god with out pain and suffering.And live in your heart for ever loved. God Bless you Jacob and the whole family.

Tracy he was a great man I enjoyed Allan and his company a lot . He was very care free about things . I known Allan to be a Very Great Man. He will be missed but not forgotten. my prayers are with you and your family

Allan, you will be missed – we loved you so much.  You will be with your beloved Son Gerry, Mom and Dad, and Grandma Anna and Grandpa Vic, and all the others who have passed before you.

Jacob and Tracy...I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying God's love surrounds your family and gives you all the peace and strength you need during this sad and difficult time...and Oh my, I never realized just HOW MUCH Jacob looks like his dad until seeing these pictures!

Very shocked and saddened to hear of Allan's passing.

Allan was a special person in many ways. Touched the lives of everyone in their own way. He didn't just touch my life, he changed mine. He gave me something i prayed for every night for 6 years; a father. Every night i went to sleep i prayed so hard for God to send me a father, someone to call daddy and teach me things only a father could. I waited and waited for my prayers to be answered, and one day they were. It was very hard to change my life from being an only child to having 4 siblings and soon to be 5. But Allan made the change a little easier. It was hard to accept me in the family at first i understand that now, but he did the best he could and i thank him everyday for answering my prayers and being my father. When i was young I had fallen ill at school and he rushed me into the girls  bathroom and stayed with me inside. When i had my first heartbreak from a guy, he comforted me. Allan was never my blood, But he was never my stepfather. In my heart he was always my dad. A real father is a man that can look at a child and love them as their own even though he did not help bring me in this world. Allan did just that. He gave me more than any other person in this world could have given me. He was my father, always will be. I love you Duddy, thank you for giving me the chance of having a father. God couldn't have given me a better one.

Allan, you were a large part of my life for the last fifteen years. Some good, some not so good but always there when we needed you. You will be missed. I promise I will always take good care of our son, you have my word.
