I have so many memories of the days at Commonwealth and all the fun we had. Tommy was always in the mist of the fun. Always so happy, smiling and encouraging. I cheered for you back in the day when you were playing football in high school and I cheer for you and your family now. In this time of sorrow, hold onto the good, warm memories of the boy, the man, the husband and the grandpa who lived life with abandon. Sharing your heartache, sending you love and wishing you peace. I remember Tommy Z from Commonweatlh High School in PR. Tommy was in a grade above me and a star player on the Comets football team. I recall him giving us a ride back from practice one day in his blue Cutless. Rest In Peace.

Tommy was such a wonderful human being, unanimously loved and admired by everyone who had the joy of his presence. I met him when he was in the sixth grade and even then, his star shined brightly. He was a natural leader, always so charismatic, so athletic, and so nice to everyone! I'm having trouble accepting the idea that he's left this earthly plain… much too soon… and will always hold him in my thoughts and prayers. Deepest sympathy to the Zoffinger family. The best Brother-in-law I could ever have asked for, so full of life, always a smile, welcomed me into a very large family with open arms. Going thru the photo's I wanted to share one of my favorites, so many to choose from - but I chose this one. All 3 together again. Thank You Tom and you will be truly missed by all that knew you.

Tommy always told me that he always considered himself to be one of the lucky ones, so thankful for his life and his dear family and all his friends... yet so many of us know WE were the lucky ones to be touched by his love and friendship and kindness and his constant happiness, his "joie de vie", such joy of life -- it was so contagious!!

Tom and I go back to 4th grade and from thereon we went to school together through college. Tom always had a magical way to lift up everyone around him. I'm not going to pretend that I can articulate in words what a great one we lost. 

Billy and Jimmy; I've always felt a strong bond to you guys as well. After all you were Tommy's mentors. My thoughts and prayers are with the Zoffinger family.

His generosity and kindness never cease to amaze me .Never asking anything in return except a smile. He loved people, from a random store clerk to his oldest friends. No one a stranger for long. Quick with a helping hand without hesitation. There will never be anyone else like him. He was loud and boisterous, his laughter contagious.  Yet he was sensitive and emotional ,crying at sad movies (even commercials)He seemed not to be listening , but always knew what was on my mind ,or what I needed. I will miss you every day. Never would leave you out of game. No matter what when your a friend of Toms your covered end of story.

I met Tom about 10 years ago when I worked at Mic's Homestyle Grill, I told him he looked like Steve Martin to me and asked him if anyone else had ever told him that? He said "Yep,all the time" We had been friends ever since. I will miss him dearly.
