

Donna Marie Adesso, 50, of Fayetteville, peacefully went home to Jesus, Thursday, February 18, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emily Grimsley and Rueben Grimsley. She graduated from Cape Fear High school and later went on to receive her certificate in Culinary Arts at FTCC. As a professional chef, she had a true passion for cooking. She annually participated in the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction. She enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, going to the beach and living life to the fullest. Her personality was as bright as the sun. She was very charismatic and known for her quick wit, humor, and big heart. She was incredibly hard working, strong, and independent. She was not afraid to take charge and fight for what she wanted in life. She impacted everyone's lives she entered and will be greatly missed by many. She left everyone with so many wonderful memories. She was an amazing mother, daughter, sister and friend. She is survived by her only child, Brittany Wright, grandson, Elvis Wright, and older brothers, R.J. and D.J. Grimsley. Visitation is Tuesday 2:00-3:00 pm at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home, in Dunn, one hour prior to the service. Her funeral service is at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
