Earl Grey Jackson, age 91, of Tall Pines Drive in Benson, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at his home. He was born on November 4, 1928 in Dunn to the late Liston Ambrose Jackson and the late Flonnie Lanora Norris Jackson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Doris Ann Wrench Jackson and son-in-law Ron Gibson. Earl was a truck driver for over fifty years. He loved spending his time with his family and pestering his grandchildren. He would get a kick out of pinching their cheeks or anything to get a rise out of them. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter, the squirrels and birds didn’t stand a chance against him! He also helped his father build their home. He helped cut down the trees and turn it into the lumber used in that house! Earl loved to farm and climb up on that ole John Deere tractor that he used to grow a huge garden, mostly to give away his fresh produce to all his neighbors. That was the kind of guy Earl was, giving to everyone, and making sure their needs were met. He was the kind of neighbor who would cut your grass for you when you needed it, not expecting anything in return.
Earl leaves behind to honor his legacy, his two daughters: Deborah Bragg and husband Brad of Benson and Wanda Gibson of Angier; grandchildren: Jeremy Gibson and wife Lindsay, Jason Gibson and wife Cindy, Timothy Hobson and wife Crissy, Danielle Hobson, Matthew Bragg and wife Alexis, and Nicole Cribbs and husband Kennan; great-grandchildren: Gracie Gibson, Piper Gibson, Maddox Gibson, Reese Gibson, Grey Gibson, Gunnar Bragg, Paisley Cribbs, Layla Bragg, Aiden Hobson, Carter Cribbs and Conrad Bragg; brother: Donnie Jackson and wife Clarice of Dunn; sisters: Mary Barham of Fuquay-Varina, Rachel Godwin of Florida, Hazel Raper of Greensboro and Faye Lloyd and husband Ben of Emerald Isle and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Thomas Allen officiating. Jeremy Gibson, Timothy Hobson, Brad Bragg, Willis Gregory, Phillip Herndon and Louis Mejia will be serving as pallbearers.
