

Mrs. Geneva Lee Martin, age 88 of Willow Spring died Friday, September 9, 2022 at her home.
Mrs. Martin was born February 2, 1934 in Harnett County the daughter of the late Chester Lee Bell and Pauline Brewington Bell and is preceded in death by a son, Clarence Lee Goins and a sister, Clara Pauline Goins.
Geneva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and aunt.
She loved her family and enjoyed doing for them. She was a dedicated Christian and was a member of Cape Fear Baptist Church in Fayetteville in the 50’s when she and her husband lived there. She and her husband owned and operated a mobile home park in Fayetteville during this time.
They moved to Dunn in 1994 and then she became quite the gardner. She had 3 gardens at one time and stayed busy canning and freezing. It has been said that she could drive a 140 tractor and run a straight row better than her husband.
She and her husband then made a final move in 2010 to Willow Spring, NC and there they became members of New Bethel Baptist Church. They moved into Fieldstone Manor Subdivision and grew to love their neighbors and this became a second family to them.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lewis Baber, Rev. Mark White and Rev. Mike White officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
She is survived by: Her Soul Mate and Husband of 33 years: Kelly Martin of the home.
Daughters: Tina Brigman of Garner, NC and Angela Watson of Clayton, NC.
Sons: David Martin & (wife) Lucy of Siler City, NC; Bentley Martin & (wife) Charlene of Siler City, NC.
Daughter-in-Law: Becky Ann Goins of Evergreen, NC.
Sister; Myra Bell of Kinston, NC.
Grandchildren: Becky Lynn Mintz & James, Clarence “Bo” Goins & Mandy, Bobby Brigman, Jessica Brigman, Jason Brigman, Lorenzo Watson, Jalen Watson and D.J. Martin.
Great Grandchildren: Nakya Leviner & Stevie, Makayla Leviner, Gracie Goins and Julian Brigman.
Nephew: Johnny Goins & Tina.
“Baby girl” special friend: Sherry Pauley & (husband) “Grandson” David.
And the dedicated neighbors of Fieldstone Manor for their help and caring during Geneva’s sickness.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn, prior to the service.
