Mrs. Jacqueline Tripp Soto

Dunn, NC Mrs. Jacqueline Tripp Soto, 81, of Dunn passed away Saturday morning, June 21 at her home. She was born June 19, 1933 in Harnett County, daughter of the late Furnie and Sally Miller Tripp. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Byrd, one brother, Furnie Tripp, Jr. and a brother-in-law, Thomas Byrd and wife Elestine Byrd. Mrs. Soto was a member of Lee’s Grove PFWB Church for over 70 years and was most recently a member of Faith Baptist Church. She had many lifelong friends from her many years of employment at W & S and Mac-Page, from which she later retired, especially Gela Strickland, Melissa Pope and Betty Fowler. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 23 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home with Randy Byrd, Rev. Hubert Morgan, Rev. James Tart and Rev. Randy Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens. She is survived by her husband, Nelson Soto, one son, Joseph Byrd, Jr. and wife Linda Farmer of Dunn, one brother, Henry Franklin Tripp and wife Cathy of Pleasant Garden, NC, one sister, Kay Tripp Tart of Dunn, step-grandson, Nicholas DeJesus and wife Angie of Willow Spring, step-great granddaughter, Nadia DeJesus, and her beloved cat, Blackie. The family will receive friends Monday, June 23 from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home and other times at the home.
