James Clifton Johnson

Mr. James Clifton Johnson, age 72, formerly of Dunn died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, NC. Mr. Johnson was born in Harnett County on September 25, 1943 the son of the late William Thomas and Daisy Cook Johnson and is preceded in death by his first wife, Laverne Bryant Johnson. He was retired from Alphin Brothers Food Distributors where he worked as a Truck Driver for over 43 years. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Tart Officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens Cemetery. He is survived by: his wife Mary Johnson of Morehead City Son: M. Shane Johnson and wife Jennifer of Coats, NC Step-Son: Tim Evans and wife Amanda of Wilson, NC Grandchildren: Spencer, Alexander, Abigail and Jenna Sisters: Carolyn Avery and husband Jack of Erwin and Brenda Watson and husband Thurman of Dunn Nephew: Neil Avery Niece: Charlene Grady The family will receive friends Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 10:00am – 10:50am at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home in Dunn, NC one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Shane Johnson.
