She was born February 18, 1924. Her parents were Lonnie Monroe Reaves and Carthy Jane Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis Franklin Warren; sisters, Lala Elliott and Irene Eason; brothers, Malcolm, Raymond, Bradley, Alton and Walter Reaves.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Warren and wife Hilda of Selma; her daughter, Rebecca Ann Varner and husband Robert of Goldsboro; sister, Elsie Caferio of New York; two granddaughters, one step-gandson, two great grandsons, two great granddaughters, and two great great grandchildren.

A funeral service to commemorate the life of Julia Warren will be conducted in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Billy Nowell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Sill Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
