Mary Wood Faircloth

Erwin, NC Mrs. Mary Laura Wood Faircloth, age 69, of Erwin, died Wednesday, October 19,2016 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. Mrs. Faircloth was born in Harnett County on June 8, 1947 the daughter of the late Richard and Edith Pope Wood and is preceded in death by her husband Dallas Faircloth, her grandson, Gary Wayne Avery and her two brothers, Joe Wood and Wallace Wood. Mary always enjoyed going to the beach and spent many hours shopping, any time she was able to do so. She was a wonderful caregiver and loved all her family and cherished her grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Wood and Rev. Danny Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the Erwin Memorial Park. She is survived by her sons: Roger Avery and wife Dianna and Eric Scott Avery and wife Linda, both of Erwin, NC, Stepson Dean Faircloth and wife Michelle of Fayetteville, NC. Her brother: Ralph Wood and wife Frances of Erwin, NC. Grandchildren: Christopher, Porscha, Eric, Michaela, Alan, Austin, Chandler and Christina. Three Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
