Stephen Joseph Cass

Stephen J. “Steve” Cass, age 70 of Dunn went peacefully from his home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Steve retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class (SFC), serving 3 years in Vietnam. He also worked in management at Sam’s Club, then as a Detention Officer and a Group Home Houseparent with Special Needs Boys. During retirement he enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, his recliner, big TV and drinking lots of coffee. Steve is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bobby Wheeler Cass of the home; his special fur-baby Sparkle Jean; sons, Kevin & (wife) Jenny, Mike & (wife) Alisha; his loving grandchildren, Meg, Cam, Zoe & Zac; a brother, Mike & sister, Lorrie of Kansas. His very loving Aunt K of Kansas. His very special children, Albert, Amy & Meg Colville. So many have blessed his life with special friendship and love! A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Stoney Run PFWB Church, 12481 Harnett-Dunn Hwy., Dunn.
