Cecilia A. Kirsch

Cecilia A Kirsch (nee Hirtz), age 63, of Holland, New York passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.Beloved wife of Michael E. Kirsch; devoted mother of Nathan (Kate), Sarah and the late Benjamin Kirsch; cherished grandmother of Ben, Charlotte and Vivian Kirsch; loving daughter of Paul and Frances Hirtz; dear sister of Donald Hirtz, Mary (David) Dziedziak, Amelia (Amy) Styles, Mark Hirtz, Vincent (Linda) Hirtz and the late Elizabeth Ann and Paul Hirtz. Cecilia was known for her kind and joyful nature. She would light up a room with her smile, provide comfort with her calming voice, and raise spirits with a cheerful hum. She inspired others by being compassionate, thoughtful, generous, and caring to everyone. She was especially loving and supportive of her family. Cecilia lived her life as a devoted wife to her husband Michael and she held a strong faith in God. In her life she especially enjoyed gathering with family and friends, playing games, canning foods, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener who took pride in her abundant flower beds, vegetable gardens, and houseplants. She worked at the Holland Elementary School where the children brought her joy. Relatives and friends may visit WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 784 Main St., East Aurora on Thursday, December 28th from 3 - 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Neumann Parish (St. Mary's Site) 3854 Main St., Strykersville, NY on Friday December 29 at 11 AM. Please assemble at church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
