

Gennaro was born in Naples, Italy on July 11, 1930. The son of the late Peter and Fiorentina (DiFraia) Graziani. Gennaro moved to the United States in 1958 and married Elizabeth Visconti.
During his time in Italy, Gennaro worked for the Italian Military Federal Police as a Carabinieri. He was appointed to work at the Vatican and dedicated the last three years of service to investigative work as a detective. After his arrival to the United States, Gennaro owned and operated Jerry’s Pizza House in Stoneham and later was a machine operator in Borden’s Confectionery.
Gennaro was on the Board of Directors as CONSIGLIERE (Advisor) of the Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri - Sezione Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa- Boston branch for 2 consecutive terms. He attended in GRANDE UNIFORME of the Carabinieri many State and local Italian American functions representing the Republic of Italy, Arma Dei Carabinieri and various functions of October Italian Heritage Month at the State house. He represented the Arma Dei Carabinieri yearly: FESTA DELLA REPUBLICA ITALIANA and FESTA DELL'ARMA DEI CARABINIERI in Boston. Gennaro was an enormous promoter and supporter of the O.N.O.A.M.A.C. - The Orphans of the Carabinieri (an organization in Italy that financial and scholastically supports orphans of fallen Carabinieri)
Gennaro is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elizabeth (Visconti) Graziani of East Boston. Loving father of Theresa Battista and her husband Russell of Lexington, Ann Graziani and her husband Robert Salvati of Quincy, and Stephen Graziani of East Boston. Cherished grandfather of Gianna Celona, Michael and Marc Battista. Dear brother of Nancy Whitney of San Diego, Rosanna LaRosa of Revere, Josephine Spinelli of Gloucester, Antonietta Mannone of Gloucester, Vincent Graziani of Revere and the late Emily Giannakas. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 4-8pm in The Kirby-Rapino Memorial Home, 917 Bennington St., East Boston.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, corner of Brooks and Paris Street, East Boston at 10am.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett
