

Ann Radl, 72 of Glastonbury passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital after a serious illness. Her loving son Matthew and several friends were by her side. Ann was born June 2, 1937 in Portage, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Dr. Cyril J. & Ruth (Armstrong) Radl. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Class of 1960 where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
Ann resided in numerous locations including San Francisco and Germany, working for IBM. She moved to Connecticut, first living in Greenwich where she became a real estate agent . She settled in Glastonbury where she worked for CBT until it closed in 1991. In 1992, Ann founded Tender Living Care, Inc., a homecare agency servicing the elderly and Disabled population. She served as president until her passing. She had numerous hobbies including traveling the world, Yoga, a keen interest in history, gardening at her home along with spending time with her cats, and enjoying gourmet cuisine. She volunteered at the Second Chance Shop in Glastonbury, was a member of the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce and a founding member of the Connecticut Homemakers & Companions Association.
She is survived by a son Matthew Michael Radl of Glastonbury, two sisters and their husbands, Joan & James von Germeten of Lake Tahoe, NV, and Susan & Thomas Rusboldt of Wisconsin, loving friends Marge Loucks and her husband Roger, and business partner Karen Soule all of Glastonbury, along with numerous nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends.
Ann’s family will be receiving friends and family on Friday June 4th from 1-4 p.m. at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, prior to the celebration of Ann’s life to be held at 5 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, 588 Exeter Street, Lebanon, CT, with Rev. Dr. Sharon Ledbetter officiating. I
