Barbara Jean Russell Paul

Barbara Jean (Russell) Paul, 81, of Manchester, passed away February 2, 2016 at the Manchester Hospital.She was born in Hartford a daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Galipo) Russell. She was a member of the New Covenant United Methodist Church in East Hartford. Barbara was an Accounts Receivable Clerk at the Victor Rome Institutional Textile Company for many years. She was a devote Red Sox fan and a big fan of UConn Women’s basketball. She was a competitive Yahtzee player with friends and family. In her earlier days she played softball in the women’s league in Manchester and East Hartford.She is survived by her husband Theodore Anthony Paul, her five sons, Dion B Paul and Scott A. Paul, both of Manchester, Gary L. Paul and his wife Carol of Port Richie, FL, Robert R. Paul and his wife Kathy of East Falmouth, MA and Tim M. Paul and his wife Patti of Vernon, 14 grandchildren, 13great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday February 8th at 11AM, at the New Covenant United Methodist Church, 16 Church St. East Hartford, visiting hours are Sunday 3-6PM at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford.
