Barbara Theresa Willis

Barbara Theresa Willis was a long-time resident of East Hartford, CT. She was born in Mount Vernon NY to her mother Lillian Davis then raised in Hartford, CT by her Grand-mother, Rosina Jackson. Barbara graduated from Weaver High School and later married John Dean Willis of LaGrange, NC in 1958. Barbara and John had two children, Yolanda Kim Willis who they lost in 2010 who is survived by her son Derek Hall and Great Granddaughter Kimaya Ramiz-Hall of Hartford, CT. Their youngest Daughter La'Tanya Nkonoki resides in Middletown CT with her husband Jonathan Nkonoki, Sr. and Barbara's other Grandchildren Taylor Nkonoki, Jessica Nkonoki, and Jonathan Nkonoki, Jr.

Barbara worked at Cigna Corporation and was a 45 year member of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Windsor, CT. She loved Knitting, Crafts, her Church and her Grandchildren. In addition, she was an amazing Cook and tremendous person that will be dearly missed.

A wake will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM, immediately followed by a Memorial Service all being held at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ 691 Windsor Avenue, Windsor, CT 06095

In lieu of Flowers, Donations can be made to Holy Temple Church of God in Christ or the American Cancer Society.
