

Charlotte was born on August 6, 1920 in Hebron, CT, a daughter of the late Norman J. and Mabel (Perry) Warner. Charlotte was a dedicated member of Gilead Congregational Church where she was a Deacon Emeritus, Sunday school teacher, choir member for 70 years and had served on many committees. She was also a member of the John Tom Hill Community Club. She was instrumental in a startup nursery school program at Buckingham Church. She was a loving and devoted mother involved in her children’s lives. Charlotte enjoyed flower gardening, snowmobiling, spending time with family and friends, and later in life square dancing. She had an appreciation for nature and was knowledgeable of various native wildflowers and birds. She will be remembered for her caring personality visiting elderly friends and her efficient organizational skills.
Charlotte will be dearly missed by her son John W. Motyka and his wife Meredith of Coventry, grandson Philip Motyka, sisters Allene Turner and Jean Raymond, brother Alden Warner, many nieces and nephews, dear friends and neighbors.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Charlotte is predeceased by her son James Motyka, brothers Norton and William Warner and sister Olive Burt.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Gilead Congregational Church.
A Memorial Service is to be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11am at the Gilead Congregational Church, 672 Gilead St., Hebron, CT 06248.
